US-Brazil College to High School Mentoring
Building bridges for education is the intent of Harvard University’s Mentoring and Language Acquisition (MLAB) program, which brings together 15 Harvard undergraduates and 15 Brazilian high school students for a two-week mentorship and cultural exchange program in Brazil.

Gary Brown and the US Consulate Booth Draw Big Crowds at 10th Feira Preta
The U.S. Consulate information booth and New Orleans musician Gary Brown proved major attractions at the 10th edition of Feira Preta, the largest national festival celebrating and encouraging the Afro-Brazilian population. Promoting Road Safety and Efficiency
In support of Brazil’s continuing effort to adopt state-of-the-art technology to facilitate the flow of goods and services in its growing economy, as well as increase road safety, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) provided a grant of $460,000 to EcoRodovias, a Brazilian private intermodal logistics company and one of the country’s largest highway concessionaires.
