On the margins of the C-40 Large Cities Climate Summit, Consul General Thomas Kelly and Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Romel Pascual discussed opportunities for sharing experiences on urban issues between U.S. and Brazilian cities. As the second-largest city in the United States, Los Angeles is at the forefront of addressing sustainable urban development and fostering public-private partnerships for economic growth. Deputy Mayor Pascual and CG Kelly, a citizen of Los Angeles County, were joined by Jon Sederstrom, who represents Los Angeles-based J.D. Power and Associates in Brazil, to discuss opportunities for Los Angeles companies in Brazil. At the conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Mayor Pascual greeted staff members of the U.S. Consulate General in Sao Paulo who hail from Los Angeles.
