On May 12, Consul General Thomas Kelly paid his third visit to the flourishing industrial and research center of São José dos Campos.  Touring the General Motor’s plant, one of the region’s largest employers, the Consul General emphasized the importance of expanding business and social partnerships between the United States and the interior of São Paulo State.  He also visited a new wing of Sao Paulo’s leading pediatric oncology center, Children’s Cancer Support Group (GACC), which is engaged in collaborative research exchanges with several U.S medical institutions.  Later, addressing 180 students and faculty at FAAP’s graduate extension campus, CG Kelly discussed current U.S.-Brazil relations and emphasized the value of studying English to build connections between the U.S. and Brazil.
