"They signed my arm!” screamed one of the English Access students before the sold-out Paramore concert in São Paulo on February 20.   The three members of the American band Paramore, Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Jeremy Davis, met with 10 Access English scholarship students and Consul General Tom Kelly backstage as part of the U.S. Consulate’s Pop Diplomacy initiative.  After talking to the band, getting autographs and taking pictures, the thrilled got to watch the show from the VIP seating area.  The Consulate’s Pop Diplomacy program introduces talented students from underprivileged backgrounds to American artists who are performing in Brazil, enabling them to share their experiences and learn more about each other’s  cultures.
